No more cheese däbele: Alma is now selling in a modern cheese car!
The Alma cheese däselel in Hard has closed. From now on, the Vorarlberg cheese manufacturer is selling its products from a sales car that was set up just a few meters from the former location. The reason for the closure is a expired rental agreement, which resulted in the need for high investments in new cooling devices, storage space and sanitary facilities. The old building was in need of renovation, which is why Alma did not want to make any further investments as a tenant.
In the area, three alternative locations were checked, but none of the options could be felt as suitable. The new cheese car is modern and appealing. It not only offers heating and WiFi, but also a stamp clock for the employees. The location at a busy intersection could ensure a higher walk -in customer.
changes and customer reactions
Despite the new format, some regular customers are dissatisfied with the change. You miss the special shopping experience in the old shop, where browsing in the range was part of the attractiveness factor. Nevertheless, the cheese quality remains high, which causes some customers to continue to buy cheese for special occasions. However, a comeback of the business at the old location is excluded; Alma has agreed with the landlord to use the cheese car.
The company's flexibility is shown by the fact that further locations are considered. It could be quite possible that the cheese car is a permanent solution.
variety of cheese products in Vorarlberg
Alma continues to offer a wide range of regional and international cheese specialties. This includes the Vorarlberg mountain cheese G.U. as well as a selection of hard, cutting and string cheese. The alpine and mountain cheese craft is deeply rooted in the Vorarlberg culture, and every cheese, be it alpine cheese or Sura Kees, enjoys an excellent reputation far beyond the national borders. In Vorarlberg, around 60 % of the milk generated are processed into various cheese specialties, which underlines the high quality of the products.
The variety ranges from spicy mountain cheese, which is produced from hay milk, to fine emmental with citrus and nutmeg aromas as well as smooth and creamy goat camembert. Production takes place in about 130 sennalps in the region, where traditional knowledge of cheese production is passed on. Vorarlberg cheese is not only a pleasure, but also a popular culinary souvenir that can be obtained from cheese online shops.
For customers who want to enjoy Alma products, there are still several locations at their disposal, such as the Alma direct sale in Hörbranz and the Alma Bergenseries, which are known for their high quality. Overall, the Vorarlberg cheese culture is an exciting and diverse legacy that is still being maintained by providers such as Alma.
These changes are part of a continuous adaptation to the needs of customers, whereby the nuclear range of cheese and specialties always remains. Therefore, it remains exciting how the new business model of the cheese car will develop.
