Schauspiel school meeting 2025: 200 talents conquer Salzburg!
Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, Österreich - From June 22nd to June 28th 2025 finds at the University of Mozarteum Salzburg instead of. Around 200 participants from 18 universities from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will present themselves in a varied program. The festival hosts the renowned Thomas Bernhard Institute.
The goal of this festival is to make an opening to the city in order not to have the event perceived as a separate industry event. The event is supplemented by offers such as theater performances, workshops, conversations and walks, the alternative perspectives in Salzburg. A special highlight will be a cross -generational speed dating in the famous Café Bazar. Students from Salzburg are cordially invited to also take part in a special summer camp.
competition and prices
A central point of the festival is the competition of the drama schools, in which theater productions are performed by students from the higher semester. The prices of these competitions are awarded by various top -class institutions, including:
- German Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Seniors, Women and Youth
- German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space Travel
- Ensemble Prize Austria (European Theater Academy)
- Max Reinhart Seminar
- Art University Graz
- University Mozarteum
The jury consists of experts such as Valentina Schüler, Camill Jamal, Florian Tröbinger, Christine Eder and Sahar Rahimi.

The performances will take place in several historically and culturally valuable places in Salzburg:
- Max Schlereth Saal (renamed Maria Kalesnikava Saal)
- Mirabellplatz 1
- Theater im Kunstquartier, Paris-Lodron-Straße 2a
- Former Cineplexx City Center, entrance Engelbert-Weiß-Weg

In addition, the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation , one of the largest event rooms in Salzburg, will play a key role. This hall, which was built between 1911 and 1914 in the style of late historism, offers space for up to 776 guests and is known for its excellent acoustics. The large hall was renovated and modernized between 2020 and 2022 and is also the main venue for the Salzburg Festival.
