Salzburg's ice hockey adventure: SHOCK OPPONENT in the CHL draw!

The draw for the coming season of the Champions Hockey League (CHL) took place on May 21, 2025. In this exciting phase of preparations, the opponents of Red Bull Salzburg and the Klagenfurter Athletiksport Club (KAC) were announced. Both Austrian teams are part of the win2day ICE Hockey League and will face some well-known opponents in the CHL regular season. Salzburg, as champions of the ICE, belongs to draw pot B and was drawn two teams from pots A, C and D.

Preparations for the season

The CHL regular season starts on August 28, 2025. A total of 24 of the best European teams are fighting for a place in the playoffs, 16 of which will qualify. The format promises exciting games and exciting duels between the best teams on the continent.

In a recent CHL game, the Red Bulls recently recorded a 3-1 win against Färjestad BK. Salzburg dominated the game for long stretches.
