This second air helped Salzburg to launch fresh attacks. So it happened that just two minutes later the young player Gloukh narrowly missed the goal. Nevertheless, the great pressure and the supposed chances of Salzburg resulted in no further success.

In the midst of the exciting encounter, controversial decisions were inevitable. A possible penalty for Salzburg was not given when referee Stefan Ebner classified WAC player Nwaiwu's entry against Vertessen in the penalty area as not illegal.
