Peterskirchen in theater fever: Neurose times inspires in January!
The theater group will soon be performing their new play “Neurosige Times” in Peterskirchen, which will be presented on the last weekend in January. The story is about Agnes Adolon, whose life is anything but ordinary due to her placement in a psychiatric facility. While her mother unsuspectingly assumes a villa instead of the “claps”, her roommates try to act as “normal” people. The obsessive-compulsive Hans is supposed to act as a life partner, the stalker Marianne becomes the housekeeper and the shy Willi takes over the caretaker service. These deceptive shenanigans result in chaos when uninvited guests appear, which pushes the treating psychiatrist and therapist to their limits, reports meinbezirk.at.
The performances will take place at the Gasthaus Sternbauer-Flotzinger, and tickets can be reserved at the Engertsberger bakery from January 5, 2025. Adults pay ten euros, while children up to 15 years old only cost five euros, with remaining tickets at the box office subject to availability. This turbulent production illuminates the absurdity of life in a psychiatric facility in a humorous way and promises to captivate the audience.
A touch of Christmas and hope
In parallel with these local events, there is also an invitation to rejoice during this festive season. As himmelrauschen.de reports, singing Advent and Christmas carols is currently hardly possible for many people. The melodies like “Daughter Zion” bring a special joy to the hearts, which plays an important role in this time of expectation. Influenced by Handel's melodies, which were once composed for a British freedom fighter, the song quickly found its way into people's hearts as a Christmas classic, despite the bans from the Nazi era. The message of this music is a reminder that hope and joy remain even in difficult times. The joy of Jesus' birth motivates believers and classical music lovers alike to share the light of the holiday and hope for a better future.
