Austria's biggest morning show, the Ö3 alarm clock, receives a fresh reinforcement in the moderation team. From the end of September 2025, the two new moderators Philipp Bergsmann and Anna Kratki will support the existing duo Gabi Hiller and Philipp Hansa. Ö3 broadcaster Michael Pauser emphasizes the importance of the Ö3-Wecker as a leading morning show in Austria and emphasizes the new impulses that will bring the reinforcement.

Philipp Bergsmann, who has been part of Ö3 since 2018, has already made a name for himself through the moderation of the cross-shipment Ö3 Community Show "Question the whole country". He also moderates the evening program "Your Music - Your Hitradio in the evening" and the "Countdown into the weekend". Bergsmann expressed his anticipation for the new task and described the moderation of the Ö3-Wecker as a fulfillment of a dream.

New faces in the team

Anna Kratki, the native of Upper Austrian, comes from Radio Energy and also shot for ORF III reports. She brings valuable experiences from work in the Energy morning show and is looking forward to actively shaping the energy and creativity of Ö3.

The redesign of the Ö3 alarm team is against the background that long-time moderator Robert Kratky wanted to end his active cooperation with ORF for health reasons. As the best paid moderator at ORF with a gross annual content of 473,000 euros, Kratky has inspired the listeners over many years. On medical advice, he now focuses on his physical and mental health.

History of the Ö3-Wecker

The Ö3 alarm clock has been a radio broadcast of the Austrian broadcaster Ö3 since 1968 and has always developed. The shipment reaches over 2.8 million listeners every day. Originally founded by Rudi Klausnitzer and Brigitte Xander, the format has produced several well-known moderators over the years and is now known for its infotainment format. The programs take place from Monday to Friday between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. and offer a mixture of news, entertainment and comedy.
