Second professional fair in Ebensee: Students meet regional companies
On November 12, 2024, an important event took place in the Ebensee school center: the second vocational and training fair of the Ebensee sports middle school. After the positive feedback of the premiere in the previous year, this fair was seen as a valuable platform for young people and companies.
Pupils of the SMS Ebensee as well as from surrounding schools in Gmunden, Bad Ischl and Bad Goisern had the opportunity to contact 40 different companies, institutions and higher schools this morning. These encounters were an excellent opportunity for young people to explore their future perspectives and to find out more about various professional opportunities.
Diverse offers and support
The event was not only a room for discussions, but also a platform for inspiration. The young people were able to determine their personal strengths and skills in the context of interest analyzes. The Upper Austria Chamber of Commerce (WKO OÖ) and Salzkammergut Tourismus were also present to offer the students well -founded information and to support them with important decisions regarding their professional and school career.
Dr. Christian Kitzberger, school quality manager of the Gmunden education region - Vöcklabruck, was also on site and praised the professional organization of the fair. The positive feedback from the students and the participating schools and companies illustrated the success of the event. Headmaster Hermann Neuböck and organizer Mag. Michael Löscher were pleased with the high level of acceptance of the professional fair and announced that success justifies a repetition next year.
Overall, the high participation shows that events such as these are of great importance for professional orientation for young people. The exhibition stands were inviting and informative, which created a stimulating atmosphere all morning.
