UAnd it's that time again! The weekend in the St. Pölten region is just around the corner and brings with it a colorful range of events. Whether you are interested in theater, dance or culinary experiences, there is something to suit every taste. Here you will find an overview of the events that you should not miss.

On Thursday, October 17th, the event weekend begins with the classic “Maria Stuart” by Friedrich Schiller, which will be performed in the Great House at 7:30 p.m. For those who love music, there are two other options: the circus show by Compagnie Zalatai, also at 7.30 p.m. in the courtyard stage, and the concert by Raphaela Gromes entitled “Femmes” in the Festspielhaus.

Diverse highlights on Friday

The opening of the gourmet festival “Genuss Pur” is on the program on Friday, October 18th. The highly regarded event starts at 6 p.m. in the town hall with a white sausage party. At the same time, the educational cabaret by the artist Andreas Ferner, which presents a best of his 20-year stage career, will be performed at 7 p.m. in the Vaz.

Another notable event is the European Ballet's Autumn Gala, which will be celebrated at 7 p.m. in the Wagram Cultural Center. Dance lovers can also look forward to the performance “Freedom Sonata” with Emanuel Gat at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Festspielhaus. Anyone interested in current political issues can follow the discussion with political scientist Ulrich Brand that same evening at 7:30 p.m. in the theater workshop at the Transformation Office.

Other interesting events on Friday include the city choir's autumn concert and the premiere of the play “Richter Moll and Rock & Roll”. So cultural diversity is guaranteed!

Family-friendly offers on weekends

Saturday, October 19th, begins with a cozy jazz brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Hotel-Gasthof Graf. A children's afternoon with the title "Magic with Hannes" is offered for families in Ober-Grafendorf at 3 p.m., while there are numerous performances in the evening, including "Iowa - A Trip to America" ​​and the circus festival show at 7:30 p.m.

The culmination of the weekend will take place on Sunday, October 20th. Here visitors can look forward to a hit morning pint with DJ Werner from 10 a.m. in the Seelounge Ratzersdorf. For lovers of regional delicacies, the potato festival in Stattersdorf at 11 a.m. offers another highlight.

For the entire family there is also the 18th baby and children's flea market in Inzersdorf from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while a goat hike with cashmere goats is planned in Karlstetten from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. These events not only provide entertainment, but are also memorable!
