A weekend full of experiences: events in the region
u nd again! The weekend in the St. Pölten region is just around the corner and brings a colorful range of events. Regardless of whether you are interested in theater, dance or culinary experiences, there is something for every taste. Here you will find an overview of the events that you shouldn't miss.
On Thursday, October 17th, the event weekend begins with the classic "Maria Stuart" by Friedrich Schiller, who will be performed in the big house at 7.30 p.m. For those who love music, there are two more options: the Circus Show of the Compagnie Zalatai, also at 7.30 p.m. in the stage in the courtyard, and the concert by Raphaela Gromes with the title "Femmes" in the Festspielhaus.

On Friday, October 18, the opening of the gourmet festival "Pure enjoyment" is on the program. The much -noticed event starts at 6 p.m. in the town hall with a white sausage party. At the same time, the educational cabaret of the artist Andreas Ferner, which a best-of of his 20-year stage career is presented, is listed at 7 p.m. in the VAZ.
Another remarkable event is the autumn gala of the European ballet, which is celebrated at 7 p.m. in the Kulturhaus Wagram. Dance fans can also look forward to the performance "Freedom Sonata" with Emanuel Gat at 7.30 p.m. in the big hall of the Festspielhaus. If you are interested in current political issues, you can follow the discussion with political scientist Ulrich Brand on the same evening at 7.30 p.m. in the theater workshop at the transformation office.
Other interesting events on Friday are the autumn concert of the city choir and the premiere of the play "Richter Moll and Rock & Roll". So the cultural diversity is guaranteed!
Family -friendly offers at the weekend
The Saturday, October 19, starts with a cozy jazz brunch from 10.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Hotel-Gasthof Graf. For families, a children's afternoon entitled "Magic with Hannes" in Ober-Grafendorf is offered at 3 p.m., while there are numerous performances in the evening, including "Iowa-a trip to America" and the circus festival show at 7.30 p.m.
The crowning end of the weekend will take place on Sunday, October 20th. Here visitors can look forward to a Schlager morning pint with DJ Werner from 10 a.m. in the Seelonde Ratzersdorf. For the lovers of regional delicacies, the potato church in Stattersdorf offers another highlight at 11 a.m.
For the entire family there is also the 18th baby and children's flea market in Inzersdorf from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while in Karlstetten there is a goat hike with cashmere goats from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. These events not only provide entertainment, but also remain in the memory!
