Two years of Emma Store: A center for local diversity in Wolkersdorf

On Friday a very special day was celebrated in the Emma Store in Wolkersdorf: the second birthday of the innovative store, which functions as a small shopping center. The Emma Store, housed in the former Libro premises, has established itself as a unique concept by offering small businesses and individuals the opportunity to rent retail space. This rental structure, which can be extended monthly, allows for both flexibility and low barriers to entry for interested providers.

The diversity of store owners in the Emma Store could hardly be greater. Currently there is, among other things, a natural stone jewelry store, a bakery, a patisserie and even an orthopedist. Communication manager Barbara Schmeiser emphasizes that the team maintains a family atmosphere and that daily errands, such as fresh bread from the bakery, are very much appreciated. “We are a nice team, almost like a family,” says Schmeiser with a smile.

Unique concept and community spirit

The idea behind the Emma Store is to offer customers a wide range in a complex that has local roots. In addition to the shopping experience, the store also offers space for various functions and events. For example, on Halloween there will be a craft afternoon for children where they can get creative. According to Schmeiser, parents are welcome to either join in or do their shopping in the meantime. To summarize these occasions: Children and adults in costume can look forward to a little sweet surprise.

On Friday, the New Year celebration grew with the joy and enthusiasm of the shopkeepers, appreciating the moments spent together. As Schmeiser explains, the Emma Store has the potential to become even more popular, especially because there are no comparable concepts in the area. Potential tenants who are interested in a retail space can contact us at any time by email. Schmeiser is convinced: “With new tenants, things never get boring for us.”
