Dedicated pupils of the PTS Horn: social action in the community
In Horn, the students of the Horn Polytechnic School have once again demonstrated their strength and sense of community. During a two -day social campaign, the students were passionate about in several projects to help the community and provide support.
The campaign took place at various locations, including the Horn campus, the St. Bernhard soccer field and the Caritas Horn. The students had the opportunity to actively participate in the design of their surroundings. The activities carried out included plasters, tidying up flood damage, helping with wintering, creating nail images and sorting and transporting flea market goods from the Horner Lions Club.
Engagement and activities
Another important commitment took place in the Lower Austrian care and care center (PBZ) in Eggenburg, where the students spent time with the residents. This social commitment not only promoted the exchange between the generations, but also had many students gain valuable experience that are formative for their personal development. At the end of the campaign, the community in school was crowned with an overnight stay with exciting activities.
The participation in such projects not only has a positive impact on the community, but also on the students themselves. It becomes clear that social responsibility and teamwork not only teach the students, but also strengthen. These values are particularly important than ever at a time when mutual support and helpfulness are more important. The commitment of PTS Horn's students impressively shows how many good young people can achieve when they join together and tackle.
