New energy concept for Schmidatal-Manhartsberg presented
In the community center of Sitzendorf, the members of the climate and energy model region Schmidatal-Manhartsberg (KEM) recently met to discuss important progress and planning steps. KEM manager Markus Pröglhöf and Silvia Köllner from Energy-Climate GmbH had the task of presenting the newly revised implementation concept and giving insights into the previous successes.
A central point of the meeting was the positive assessment of the fourth application application for 2023 at the "climate and energy fund". This is a little complex procedure that must be passed through the KEM regions every three years in order to continue to receive funding. The special feature this year was to fundamentally revise the edition of the original energy and implementation concept, which was launched in 2013.
The new concept in detail
The new concept aims to consider current challenges and needs with regard to energy efficiency and climate protection more. The inclusion of local conditions plays an important role. The aim is to promote sustainable development of the region by implementing innovative approaches to generate energy and use.
Some of the measures already implemented include the promotion of renewable energies, the sensitization of citizens for environmentally friendly practices and the creation of networks to support innovative projects. The commitment to sustainability is noticeable in the region and is received positively by both the residents and the local companies.
A highlight of the presentation was the idea of concrete projects that were successfully implemented in the past. These relevant examples should motivate and serve as inspiration for future initiatives. The positive feedback from the participants showed that the efforts to make environmentally friendly solutions in the region fall on fertile soil.
The KEM region Schmidatal-Manhartsberg remains an important player in the field of climate and energy policy. The upcoming challenges require a dynamic adaptation to new conditions, which is why the revision of the concept is regarded as an essential measure. The meeting once again emphasized the importance of close cooperation between everyone involved in order to achieve sustainable success.
