MiTAC impresses with new server solutions at the OCP EMEA Summit 2025!

On April 29th and 30th, 2025, the OCP EMEA Summit 2025 took place at the Convention Center Dublin, where MiTAC Computing Technology presented important innovations in server technology. At booth #B13, the company introduced two new server solutions tailored to the needs of high performance computing (HPC) and AI workloads. Featured models include the MiTAC C2810Z5 and C2820Z5, which are based on the AMD EPYC™ 9005 series. The C2810Z5 is a two-node, 2OU server that offers 12 DDR5-6400 DIMM slots per node, while the C2820Z5 has four nodes and direct liquid cooling.

Another highlight of the presentation was the MiTAC Whitestone 2 (WS2) server series, which was specifically developed for ORAN CU/DU and edge computing applications. These 1U chassis servers support 4th Generation Intel® Xeon® processors and offer robust synchronization technologies and front-panel hardware access. MiTAC's focus is on tailor-made platforms for hyperscale data centers, with the company having a long industry experience dating back to the 1990s. Through innovative approaches in the area of OpenBMC and Open Platform Firmware, MiTAC set new standards in the area of open firmware.

OCP Global Summit 2025 – A look into the future

In addition to the EMEA Summit, the OCP Global Summit 2025 is coming up, taking place October 13-16 in San Jose, California. This summit will be expanded to four days to provide participants with more opportunities to share insights and foster partnerships. The first day includes on-site registration, workshops and a keynote session. The following days will feature a variety of sessions and events focused on innovative technologies and developments in the open hardware and software landscape.

All Global Summit tickets provide full access to the events, sessions and social activities, which will not result in an increase in attendee prices or sponsorship fees. Registration opens in June 2025, while the Call for Presentations starts in May 2025. Sponsor sales are also already open, underscoring the importance of the event.

The OCP Summits, held twice a year, are aimed at sharing knowledge and advances in open technology and promoting the development of innovative solutions for the future.
