Art pleasure on the lake: photo art exhibition in the Limitkbad Klagenfurt!

In the summer of 2025, visitors to the Klagenfurt lido can experience a very special fascination. The fifth edition of the photo art exhibition is currently taking place and presents 56 selected images from over 350 entries in an impressive backdrop. The exhibition is accessible to art, which is shown in the public sector of the lido. The location attracts thousands of visitors every day who can enjoy the diverse art forms such as portraits, landscapes and creative work. This event is organized by the State guild of professional photographer and offers a platform for local talents in photography.

The opening of the exhibition gathered around 110 invited guests, including prominent personalities such as WK Vice President Astrid Legner, LAbg. Martin Gruber and the Stadtwerke board member Erwin Smole. In his speech, guild master Michaël Linz emphasized the high quality and variety of Carinthian photography. The exhibition extends between the lawn and the banks of the lake and shows a variety of topics, including advertising, weddings and sporting events.

artistic diversity and economic importance

The exhibition not only has a cultural, but also an economic aspect. Linz emphasizes the relevance of professional photography as an important quality feature for advertising and company appearances. The works can be seen and reflect until September 2025. The cooperation with the Stadtwerke Klagenfurt underlines the efforts of a stronger visibility of art in public space and supports the exchange between locals and holiday guests.

In an additional initiative, Carinthia devoted himself intensively to photography in 2024 under the motto "About the Land / O Deželi". This program starts on May 14, 2024 and offers a platform for 16 internationally active artists: inside whose work illuminate critical and creative disputes with the topic of land. The program includes exhibitions, workshops and discussions in cooperation with partner institutions. Posters are also used as a central medium to visualize art in public space and are intended to stimulate thinking about landscape, habitats and social phenomena.

The project is funded by the state of Carinthia and the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Public Service and Sport. In addition to the artistic discussion, the exhibition also offers an extensive workshop program in the space for photography, which creates further creative impulses and exchange options.
