Carinthian championships: returnee pullers shines with double gold!

Klagenfurt, Österreich - The athletics event on June 9, 2025 in Carinthia offered numerous outstanding achievements and remarkable comebacks. The Carinthian championships in the stadium in particular attracted the attention of sports enthusiasts, with Lukas Pullnig (KLC) impressively returning after a long break. He won both the 100-meter run in 10.58 seconds and the 200-meter run in 21.68 seconds.

The competitions were organized by LC Villach, which also acted as an outstanding host. Vasily Klimov (KLC) followed pullnig over 100 meters with a time of 10.72 seconds. In the 400-meter run, Jakub Zembaty (LC Villach) shone with a time of 47.67 seconds. Athletes also performed great achievements in the youth area, including Sebastian Kofler, who won gold over 1500 meters, and his teammate Alissa Liebhard, who won the 800 meters with the U18 women.

The masterful achievements continued with Oliver Münzer (LC Villach), who set two records in M55 class. Valentin Topitschnig and Walter Jakobitsch (both LAC Klagenfurt) impressed in the M75 class, while Ingrid Bluch (LAC Klagenfurt) reached a new W55 record in the high jump with 1.25 meters. These championships testify to the high quality of young athletics in Carinthia and the commitment of the clubs.

Austrian long relay championships

The Austrian long relay championships also took place in parallel to the championships, in which exquisite services were showed. The DSG Vienna team reached the fastest time of the day, which won in the women's category over 3 × 800 meters with a time of 7: 12.81 minutes. Silver went to KSV Alutechnik, while the KLC relay won bronze with 7: 19.41 minutes.

The male teams stood out for SVS athletics, which celebrated its third victory in a row in the general class over 3 × 1000 meters, even if the time measurement was here. In the young categories, the Sportunion Igla Long Life was successful in the U18 area with a time of 8: 43.71 minutes, while the U16 victory to USKO Melk went 9: 27.88 minutes.

In addition, Andreas Gamsjäger (ATSV OMV Auersthal) was not only able to set a new record with his high jump of 2.03 meters, but also qualify for the U18 European Championship in Banská Bystrica.
