boccia as a sport

boccia is a sport that is characterized by strategy, tactics and physical skill. Each player receives six balls that are to be placed as close as possible to the white destination ball, the Jack. The player, whose balls are closer to the Jack at the end of the round, wins the round. This sport has its roots in the Roman Empire and is now often played on meadows or sand, especially in southern Europe.

In addition, Para-Boccia is an important variant of this sport that enables people with severe movement-related impairments to take part in fair competitions. Players may use aids such as channels and can take advantage of assistants, which further promotes inclusion in this sport.

The positive feedback from the participants and the good atmosphere during the tournament confirm the success of the event and the importance of Boccia as a community -promoting sport in the region. A highlight of the tournament was the friendly competition and the sociable get -together that the local community brought together.

In conclusion, it should be noted that the SPÖ section 2 and the organizers are extremely satisfied with the implementation of the tournament and that the next event is already being planned. The promotion of boccia sports in Upper Carinthia shows how important community activities are for social interaction and health promotion.
