Hafen Wien, Österreich - The port of Vienna has completed the 2024 financial year with a gratifying turnover of 58.8 million euros, which corresponds to an impressive increase in the operating result of 4.3 percent to around 9.1 million euros. These positive developments show the decisive role of the port as an interface in the international trade and transport networks and demonstrate the commitment to competitiveness and sustainability. Around 200 companies on the port area offer more than 5,000 jobs and thus secure numerous economic livelihoods.

Investments of the port rose by 36 percent in 2024 compared to the previous year to a total of around 21 million euros. Particular focus was on the acquisition of operating objects, land acquisition and the establishment of film studios. In addition, the port could also benefit from an enormous increase in the coverage activities, especially in the case of landnations that grew by 55 percent, as well as an impressive increase of over 200 percent in water -sided envelopes.

The planned investments in 2025 are again focusing on improving the infrastructure and expanding the container terminal.
