Great fire in Tradigist: 117 Florianis fight against flames!

On July 8, 2025, a major fire broke out in a machine hall of an agricultural company in Tradigist, St. Pölten, Lower Austria. The alarm took place around noon when the sirens in the area shrilled and residents heard a loud bang. When the emergency services arrived, the column of smoke was visible from afar, which illustrated the urgency of the situation. Around 117 Florianis of ten fire brigades from the area were mobilized to take the flames that threatened to spread quickly. The exact cause of the fire is currently still unclear, and the investigation is underway.

The rescue workers faced a special challenge regarding the supply of extinguishing water. This was successfully secured via several sources, including a stream, a pool and a neighbor's water reservoir. Tank fire vehicles were also used. Thanks to the comprehensive extinguishing measures, the flames could be prevented to spread to adjacent buildings. The medical service ensured that the ASBÖ Rabenstein was on site in order to provide medical help if necessary. Fortunately, there were no reports on injured people.

The course of use and post -extinguishing work

To support the extinguishing work, an excavator from the Grasmann company, which helped, was used to clear the parts of the hall at risk of collapse and support the re -extinguishing work. The fire in the fire dragged on until around 6 p.m. before it was finally given all -clear, as the Section Fire Brigade Command Kirchberg/Pielach confirmed.

Statistics shows that fires in agricultural companies are not uncommon and lead to operations again and again.
