Attempted robbery in Golser Trafik: Duo flees without loot

In Gols, a small town in the Neusiedl am See district, an incident recently occurred that surprised the residents. A couple attempted to rob a local tobacconist last Friday. The police confirmed the incident to ORF Burgenland on Monday. Fortunately, no one was physically harmed in the incident.

It was an ordinary Friday evening when a man and a woman entered the Golser Trafik around 6 p.m. Both were dressed in black clothing and wore balaclavas. Suddenly the man pulled out a knife, apparently to demand cash from the employee. But the brave employee refused and refused to give in. An attentive customer intervened and disrupted the couple's plans. Ultimately, the two left the store empty-handed and fled the scene.

The police immediately launched an alarm search, but the perpetrators were able to escape. Nevertheless, further searches are underway. Unfortunately, no images of the perpetrators could be secured due to a defective surveillance camera.

The incident has alarmed the residents of Gols and the police are working intensively to catch the perpetrators and ensure security in the region.
