New thematic campaign of the SPÖ Burgenland: Safety and care in focus

In the upcoming state elections on January 19th, the SPÖ Burgenland will run again under the name “List Doskozil”. The party has decided to consciously forego the party's logo and name on its election posters. Instead, the campaign focuses on key issues such as safety, care, health and the provision of affordable energy.

The content was recently presented by the state management, represented by Jasmin Puchwein and Kevin Friedl. The leading candidate Hans Peter Doskozil, who is still recovering from larynx surgery, was not present during the presentation. Puchwein explained that the campaign was designed without an external agency: “We are proud that we can do it ourselves.” She emphasized that the campaign is based on measures that have already been implemented, such as the free kindergarten, the hospital building in Oberwart and the planned hospital in Gols as well as the heat price cap.

Election campaign with clear messages

As part of the campaign, 70 posters were put up throughout Burgenland. These carry slogans such as “Land of Health”, “Land of Care”, “Land of Security” and “Land of Affordable Energy”. In addition, the “sub-claim” “So that things continue to improve” can be found on the posters. The poster design in red and gold is intended to symbolize the connection to the region. A second wave of posters is already planned for January, which will be presented in Oberwart after the official start of the election campaign on January 6th.

According to Friedl, the SPÖ is listed on the ballot paper as “List Doskozil – SPÖ Burgenland”. He sees this concept, which revolves around a strong top candidate, as a “recipe for success”. The election campaign cost cap is 300,000 euros, and the state manager made it clear that over-billboarding the state should be avoided, which would keep the election campaign relatively short.

The commitment of the SPÖ Burgenland is clear in the focus on local concerns and the desired changes that they want to express with their campaign. The coming weeks could be crucial in reaching voters before the polls open.
