technological innovations in the health sector

In a further step, other companies are also active in a further step that focus on the development of smart solutions in the health sector. An example of this is the startup Wirewire from Halle. It developed a similar smart medication dispenser, the first version of which received approval as a medical device at the end of 2021. The company brings extensive know-how from areas such as software design, mechanical engineering and electronics.

The Wirewire's medication donor is reminiscent of patient: inside of the use of their medication and sends notifications to carers: inside or relatives if a dose is not taken. This is done regardless of WLAN, Bluetooth or SIM cards, which makes use in different environments easier. Depending on the application, the battery life can vary between two months and one year. The company also plans to develop a technology platform that can be expanded by new functions if necessary. This proves the commitment to support innovative products to facilitate nursing care and to maintain autonomy in old age

The digital transformation in health care

The increasing digitization in the health sector has numerous advantages. Digital applications not only help with the detection and treatment of diseases, but also contribute to improving care. Interactive technologies enable more efficient communication between patient: inside and doctors: inside. In this way, patients can digitally carry out psychotherapeutic measures from home. This relieves nurses both physically and mentally - an aspect that is of great importance in view of the challenges of everyday care.

summarized we see that the trend towards digital health technologies strengthens both the autonomy of those affected and reduces the burden for caring relatives. These developments are not only necessary, but also future -oriented for health care in our society. The companies presented like Balu and Wirewire are pioneers in this digital transformation.
