Current developments in the Viennese outdoor pools

The outdoor pools in Vienna opened the bathing season on May 2, 2025 and, in addition to the free swimming courses, also offer a wide range of leisure activities. In addition to swimming courses for children and adolescents, animation teams, volleyball training in larger outdoor pools and cultural events are also planned. These include a theater performance on June 15 and concerts in June and July 2025. The admission prices remain stable compared to the previous year, and extensive renovation and maintenance work were carried out in the outdoor pools to offer visitors a pleasant experience.

The bathing strategy 2030 is particularly noteworthy, which drives the construction of new training halls and swimming pools in Vienna. The work on the new training hall in the Simmeringer Bad is currently in the final phase, which will continue to support the extension of the offer in the future.

In addition, facilities such as the Samaritan Association offer swimming courses for different age groups and levels of difficulty to ensure that all interested parties have the opportunity to learn to swim. For more information, the registration options are available online.
