Andreas Heraf takes over coaching posts at SV Gmundner Milk!
Gmunden, Österreich - Andreas Heraf becomes the new coach of SV Gmundner Milch. The announcement was made on Friday morning, and the 57-year-old succeeds the Upper Austrian Landesliga after the association was relegated. Gmunden President Gerhard Riedl expressed himself positively about the obligation and emphasized Heraf's expertise and great know-how in the coaching industry.
Heraf was last worked at the BFC Dynamo, but had to stop after only seven games because he had to take a break due to health reasons. This happened after an acute herniated disc that made treatment in Austria necessary. In practice, of course, Heraf suffers from shock that his commitment to Dynamo had to end so early.
career and challenges
In the past, Heraf was a trainer at SC Austria Lustenau, where he did not prevent relegation in 2024. The closeness to the players seems to be important to him, which also emphasizes sports director Christoph Brummayer, who praises Heraf's human and down -to -earth nature. Heraf has a comprehensive experience from various trainer stations that ranged from the regional to the Bundesliga. His previous head coaching stations include FC Superfund, SC Schwanenstadt as well as experiences abroad with the New Zealand women's national team.It was only in June 2018 that he made the headlines when claims after his resignation were loud, after a misleading interview after a game against Japan. This was followed by complaints from players, and the situation finally ended in his separation from New Zealand Football in July 2018. Despite these challenges, he always found new opportunities in the coaching career, most recently at Türkgücü Munich and Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz.
effects of trainer changes
Heraf's commitment as a trainer comes at a time when the change of coaches often cause excitement in football. According to [Süddeutsche.de] (https://www.sueddeutsche.de/wissen/psychologie-fussball-trainer- 1.5804973), scientific studies show that change of coaches can be successful at short notice, but are usually only up to 16 game days. Playing satisfaction can often be the trigger for such a change, and Heraf's ability to build a tight wire into the cabin could be crucial for the success of SV Gmundner Milk.
With the commitment of Heraf, gmunden pursues the goal of establishing itself in the Landesliga and initiating a positive development. The spectators can be excited to see which impulses the new trainer will set and whether he can take care of the necessary stability in the team.
