40 years of fire service gaming: a festival full of camaraderie!

On Saturday, June 8, 2025, the fire brigade youth Gaming celebrated its 40th anniversary in the idyllic surroundings of Gaming. The district youth camp of the Scheibbs district attracted a total of 197 members of the fire brigade youth, which gathered on the outdoor pool. The event was organized by the Gaming volunteer fire brigade and offered the participants the opportunity to live out comradely cohesion and team spirit, a central concern of the youth fire brigades.

Unfortunately, the weather did not play along, and the award ceremony had to be moved to the fire station due to the weather. Despite the rainy conditions, the mood was excellent. A highlight of the celebrations was the honor of HLM Karl Wurzenberger, who was recognized for his long -term merit. In addition, the participants and supervisors, including 30 committed helpers, were catered for by the team of the fire brigade brettl.

commitment and community

The fire brigade youth, which acts under the motto of voluntariness and independence, promotes not only the leisure activities of the young people, but also important values such as responsibility and community. The organization is known as a solid foundation for around 356,000 members in Germany, whereby there are over 18,300 youth fire brigades. This impressively shows the social reputation of the fire brigade and the importance of general interest in the community. Young people not only learn how to help others, but also how they can react correctly in dangerous situations.

Similar to other youth fire brigade events, such as the district youth camp in Laa/Thaya 2019, where around 150 young people took part in the program, there was also a varied program at the anniversary in Gaming, which offered a lot of space for personal development. The activities included Zillen trips that offered young people the opportunity to acquire the skill badge in the water service, as well as night hikes that further strengthened the team spirit.

Finally, the Gaming volunteer fire brigade would like to thank the people present, especially with the volunteers and the committed young people and caregivers who made the event an unforgettable experience through their participation and their efforts.
