A terrible incident shocked Bietigheim on Saturday afternoon! A 16-year-old teenager on his e-bike was seriously injured in a traffic accident. At 4:14 p.m., when the young driver was cycling in violation of traffic on Kirchstrasse towards Rheinstrasse, a 32-year-old driver overlooked the oncoming young person as she was reversing out of her property. The collision was unavoidable and ended dramatically for the cyclist.
The young person was seriously injured and was immediately treated by emergency services and taken to hospital. Fortunately, the driver of the Peugeot was uninjured, but the impact not only caused physical injuries, but also caused material damage of around 500 euros to the vehicles. The Traffic Accident Service's investigation is already underway midway through the accident in order to clarify all the details of this unfortunate incident.
