Burglaries, thefts and accidents: Usingen and Bad Homburg in focus!

In a series of shocking crimes in the region, several single-family homes were targeted by burglars over the weekend! While residents were on their well-deserved vacation, unscrupulous perpetrators took merciless advantage of their absence. In Usingen, on Hergenhahnring, a single-family home was looted on the night from Friday to Saturday, causing property damage costing around 5,000 euros. Burglars also had an easy time of it in Schmitten-Arnoldshain between October 19th and 26th when they broke in through a basement window and stole cash amounting to 2,000 euros! The police are asking for information about these shocking break-ins by calling 06081/92080.

The pickpockets' bold trick!

A brazen pickpocket happened in Bad Homburg on October 25th! An 86-year-old lady was innocently distracted in a popular bakery on Louisenstrasse while an accomplice cleverly rummaged through her handbag. Her wallet was gone within a few seconds without the old lady noticing anything. The perpetrators were able to escape undetected.

There is also sad news in Königstein: Two vehicles were damaged on different streets, including a gray Volvo and an orange Renault Captur, with a total damage of 2,250 euros! The roof box of a white BMW was also broken into on the night of October 25th, causing further damage of 300 euros. The police are looking for witnesses and are calling for anyone with information to call 06174/92660.

Finally, the alarm bell went off when there was a traffic accident in which three people were injured. The collision in Bad Homburg involved a 60-year-old and two older vehicle occupants who fortunately only suffered minor injuries but caused damage amounting to 11,000 euros! Another accident occurred in Usingen when a motorcyclist fell due to a diesel trail.
