On Monday, 4:40 p.m., an incident occurred on the B83 between Godelheim and Beverungen, which could have had serious consequences. A 19-year-old man out of Beverungen drove the street with his blue Touran when he wanted to overtake the BMW driving in front of him. What initially seemed a simple overtaking process quickly developed into a risky situation.

While the overtaking maneuver was in full swing, the BMW driver surprisingly increased its speed. This forced the young driver of the Touran to speed up even faster in order to complete the overtaking process. However, before he was able to insert in front of an upcoming S-curve in good time, he had already lost control of his vehicle. The Touran came off the road and touched a guideline, which luckily caused only minor property damage.
