Santa Claus surprises children in the Eberswalder hospital!
On December 26, 2024, Santa Claus visited station 17 of the GLG Werner Forßmann Clinic in Eberswalde. With a sled full gifts, he made the little patient a special pleasure on the "Wolke 17" station, even if the sledge drove on wheels due to the lack of snow. The gifts were packed with the support of the support group, which is committed to the creative design of the premises and the support of families in special stressful situations.
Currently 15 children are looked after by a dedicated team from the Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. The management has chief physician Dr. Dieter Hüseman, who defines the rapid recovery of young patients and their health in the coming year as the top goals of the station.
about the station "Wolke 17"
The station "Wolke 17" was newly moved into in June 2022, such as rbb24.de reported. This new children's station of the Eberswalder Forßmann Hospital was realized with an investment of 400,000 euros in the redesign and expansion of the infrastructure. A total of 26 beds are available in the new station, which take into account the needs of the small patients and their relatives.
The architectural concept of the station, which was designed by an architectural office, ensures a positive atmosphere by a visual design that hovers over tree tops. From the windows, the little patients can enjoy the view of the helicopter and trains flying past. Technical innovations should also make the station process more efficient and shorten the paths for the staff.
