Another highlight: a 500 meter long section of the popular Losetetal cycle path is finally being renovated! After months in a desolate state with potholes and coarse gravel, the municipality of Niestetal is investing an impressive 20,000 euros in the improvement. The cycling commissioner Christoph Hüther emphasizes that this corresponds to a funding rate of 60 percent. The cyclists can look forward to a significantly better road!

Extensive funding for cycle paths

This year, a total of 12 municipalities submitted 20 applications, which are funded with impressive 201,151.41 euros. For example, the city of Wolfhagen receives 19,278 euros for new bicycle parking facilities, while Hofgeismar receives 18,000 euros for the renovation of cycle paths and signs. The municipalities of Fuldatal and Wesertal also benefit significantly from the funding in order to bring their bike paths up to scratch.
