New strategies for patient safety: secure quality in healthcare!

On September 17, 2025, on the occasion of the world day the patient: interior security, the Federal Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK) announced the update of quality and patient: interior security strategies for the Austrian healthcare system. These two strategies aim to ensure high -quality and safe supply by 2030. The new measures and goals should help to continuously improve the supply processes and to promote evidence-based decisions, such as ots reported.

The focus of the quality strategy is to anchor quality in all areas of healthcare, from planning to the provision of services to evaluation. Initiatives for more security

A central element of the new strategies is the "Never Events" initiative. This is intended to promote the notification of avoidable serious events in clinical treatment.
