An alarming study shocked the world! Climate change not only has a devastating effect on nature, but also threatens the health of millions of people worldwide! Sleepless nights, unbearable heat and increasing number of illness are only the tip of the iceberg. Researchers put the effects: the lost sleep hours have increased enormously and could lead to dangerous health problems in the long term!

Numbers published in the specialist magazine "The Lancet" show: The number of lost sleep due to extreme heat rose by shocking five percent from 1986-2005 to 2019-2023! Lack of sleep can not only cause concentration and memory problems, but also drastically increase the risk of serious diseases such as diabetes and heart attacks! This is a call to alert!

Significant consequences worldwide!

The dark balance for 2022: 124 countries found that 151 million people suffered from extreme nutritional uncertainty! In addition, infection -related dangers such as Dengue fever or malaria are on the rise, and people in regions that have not yet been affected are now exposed to the risk!

The shadow economy of climate change is revealed in further numbers: In 2023, 512 billion working hours were lost due to unbearable temperatures - a huge blow to the global economy! Poor countries in particular suffer, where the loss is up to 7.6 percent of gross domestic product! At the same time, the competitive economic losses due to weather-related extreme events rose by 23 percent to breathtaking $ 237 billion in just nine years!

The relevant scientists indicate that the previous measures against climate change are not sufficient for widths! There are still billions of dollars into fossil fuels! The governments now have to pull the ripcord and redirect the financial means to promote renewable energies before it is too late!
