Vienna gets a feminist voice: Who are the new candidate: inside?
The KPÖ and the links have recently submitted their common city election proposal for the upcoming election. They officially presented this at the MA62 and presented a list with impressive 205 candidate: inside. Among them are employees, social workers: inside, pensioner: inside and students who reflect the variety of Vienna society. The top candidate Barbara Urbanic from the KPÖ describes the list as a strong sign of social justice. "Our list includes the entire width of Viennese society. We compete for this: In order to give a voice as a social opposition power that is otherwise little heard," says Urbanic.
The parties pay particular attention to feminist topics and the right to participate. Angelika Adensamer, who runs in second place on the list, calls for the right to vote for all people living in Vienna, regardless of their citizenship. "In the meantime, a third of adult people in Vienna must not have a say in a democratic way. We want the right to vote for everyone who lives in Vienna," she explains. This requirement is also supported by the current campaign, which the candidates have created together with the feminist Viennese beer brand Muschikraft in order to strengthen their concerns in public and address questions about redistribution and climate protection, as reported by the press from the left

The candidate: Inner list for the Vienna City election also emphasizes the introduction of a feminist city policy, since women in the city are particularly affected by poverty. "We are making a strong sign of a feminist city policy," says Adenamer. It is also pointed out that many of the candidate come from social professions and thus be the voice for underrepresented groups in Vienna. The average age of the candidate: inside is 45, with the youngest participant being only 19 years old and the oldest 83 years counts. The influence of the candidate: on the inside is to be strengthened by equilibrium representation in politics, while in parallel prejudices and injustices in society are to be named and combated. These approaches were also underpinned by Anna Svec, a speaker from left, who fights for a fair redistribution of assets and higher social benefits. "Wealth is not a service," she explains. "The real performance would be to abolish poverty."
The full state list and details on the candidates can be viewed on the platform of OTS . The press release from left gives further insights into the various topics for the upcoming election campaign. These strategic approaches show how the two parties try to mobilize voters: on the inside and to promote a broader political discussion.
