Shocking accident in Mittersill: Auto Rast in Pizzeria and injures guests!

In a shocking incident on Sunday evening, a 36-year-old Pole in Mittersill in Pinzgau fell into a pizzeria, injuring several guests. According to the police reports, the driver had lost control of his vehicle at 10 p.m. while he was on the B165 (Gerlos state road) in heavy rain. The car rammed the glass front of the restaurant and stopped in the interior of the restaurant after the impact. Fortunately, the driver was not injured, but numerous guests were injured, reported the small newspaper. A total of six to eight people had to be taken to the hospital, including three seriously injured people who were transported to the Salzburg accident hospital and the Schwarzach and Zell am See hospitals.

Wild accident in the Salzburg region

Another serious accident occurred in Flachgau when a 17-year-old drove into a right-hand bend at a high speed. Here, too, there was a drastic incident: the driver got on the oncoming lane and crashed head -on against the railing of a bridge. The police confirmed that the car was a total loss, but there was no alcohol influence. The paramedics of the Red Cross immediately brought the three injured people to the Salzburg accident hospital. To salvage the injured and cleaning of the accident site, the Neumarkt volunteer fire brigade moved with 35 emergency services and five vehicles, as in a report of ORF Salzburg is to be read.

These two events illustrate the dangers of road traffic and the often tragic consequences of driver errors. Fortunately, the parties involved were not alcoholic in both cases, which mitigates the circumstances somewhat, but underlines the need for more traffic safety.
