The alarm level was immediately increased, and additional units of the Waldniel fire truck and respiratory protection carrier from the district of Viersen were consulted. Three respiratory protection troops carried out targeted extinguishing attacks indoors, while another squad took external measures to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent areas. Thanks to the quick reaction, five caravans and a small van, which were also in the hall, could be saved from total damage. Fortunately, there were no injuries like fireworld.at reported.

The same night the Waldniel fire truck was also called for another use. Around 7:36 p.m., a water pipe break on Schulstraße needed quick help. A vehicle moved directly from the fire site in Amern. On site it turned out that a burst valve was the cause of water damage. Fortunately, no further measures by the fire brigade were required, and the use could be completed quickly.
