Firefighters in Untertullnerbach: residents saved, fire quickly deleted!
In the early morning hours of March 12, 2025, a dramatic fire broke out in Untertullnerbach, Lower Austria. At 6:37 a.m., the volunteer fire brigades Tullnerbach, Irenental and Wolfsgraben were alerted after an electrical divider caught fire in a family home. When they arrive, dense smoke development already penetrated from the basement. Fortunately, the elderly resident could get to safety in good time and waited in front of the building for the arrival of the rescue workers.

The firefighters and women went under heavy breathing protection and were able to quickly extinguish the fire. The house was then checked with a thermal imaging camera in order to identify possible embers. After switching off the power supply by the emergency service of the energy supplier, the emergency services were able to move out again an hour after the alarm. A total of around 30 firefighters as well as two police patrols and a Red Cross vehicle were deployed. This was already the third deployment of the Tullnerbach volunteer fire brigade within 24 hours, such as nön.at reported.
The cause of the fire was taken over by the police. Special thanks go to the employers of the firefighters who enable them to fulfill their duty in such operations.
