Explosion in the heating room: three injured in Vechta!

On Monday, December 23, 2024, an explosion in Vechta in Gartenstraße occurred in the heating room of an apartment building. The incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. and led to a subsequent Fire that suffered both a carport and a house wall.

According to residents, they tried to extinguish the fire independently until the Vechta volunteer fire brigade arrived and finally brought the fire under control. A total of three people were injured in the incident: two residents suffered flue gas poisoning, while another resident took fire injuries on the hands. The estimated property damage amounts to around 40,000 euros.
