Kappl, Österreich - on December 29, 2024, around 10:48 p.m., a fire broke out in a holiday home in Kappl, Tyrol. The fire brigades from the surrounding area were immediately alerted: a total of around 200 firefighters from the municipalities, Kappl, Ischgl, Tobadill and Landeck were on site to fight the fire. Interestingly, it was not a conventional roof truss fire, as initially suspected, but the fire had limited itself to the interior of the building, accompanied by heavy smoke. Fortunately, there were no people in the house at the time of the outbreak, so that injuries could be avoided, as reported by both Meinziert.at and fireworld.at.
efficient extinguishing work and emergency services
The fire brigade had to use heavy breathing apparatus during the extinguishing work to penetrate the dense swaths of smoke. In addition to the fire brigades, the Ischgl rescue workers were also on site with three members and four police officers to support the situation. The investigation into the possible cause of the fire has already started to determine how this incident could occur.
