Rodge for rugby stars: Dark clouds pull off!

Mendoza, Argentinien - A dark chapter for French rugby sport has finally come to an end! An Argentine court has dropped the serious allegations against the two French international Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou. The two 21-year-olds were accused of sexually attacking a woman after a game in Mendoza, Argentina. But the truth came to light!

The lawyers of the players, German Hnatow and Analia Riveros, announced after the hearing on Tuesday that the allegations against their clients were rejected as unfounded. "As we expected it, the French players were acquitted because the [sexual] act was mutually acceptable. There was no crime and no doubt about their innocence," said Hnatow with a touch of relief.

The night of allegations

The incidents occurred the night after the game on July 6th when the two players met the woman in a night club. They claimed that sexual intercourse was mutually acceptable, while the woman spoke of brutal assault in her hotel room. These opposing representations led to a dramatic turn in history.

After their arrest, just two days after their first international effort for France, Auradou and Jegou were initially taken in preventive effect for more than a week before they were put under house arrest. They could not go home for almost a month until the public prosecutor finally recognized the weakness of the case and dropped the indictment.

a new beginning for the players

The decision of the court not only brings relief for the two young athletes, but also for the entire French rugby community that suffered from the shadow of these allegations. After the release, Auradou and Jegou can finally return to France and continue their career without having to live with the stigma of these serious accusations.

The events in Mendoza shaked the sports world, but the truth has prevailed. A new beginning for the two players who can now look into their sporting future with fresh courage!
