The Reichenau 2025 Festival accept shapes! In the magnificent theater museum in Vienna, Lower Austria's governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner presented the new plans for one of the most important theater festivals in Austria. With over 30,000 visitors in the previous year, the festival is a decisive impulse for culture and the economic life of the region. Mikl-Leitner emphasized that the Reichenau Festival offer the perfect combination of beautiful landscape and great theater and announced that the festival will take place from July 2 to August 3, 2025. The opening evening is celebrated with a separate version of Joseph Roth's novel "Job" under the direction of Alexandra Liedtke.

A total of 39,000 tickets for around 150 performances for this year's festival, mainly in six festival days. Maria Happel, the director, emphasized the special importance of the festival: "No other festival in Europe will have six in -house productions in just six days!" The return of the festival to the historic Südbahnhotel is also worth mentioning, which is described as a great gift. In addition to the opening on July 2, which comprises the premiere of "Arsen and top caps" on July 3, visitors also expect a performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on July 4, which is the first Shakespeare piece in Reichenau.
