warnings and investments

Despite these successes, there are worrying views. Alexander Bamberger, CEO of the BMW sales company, warned that the "automobile ecosystem in Europe is under massive pressure". The supplier industry suffers and many jobs could be on the brink. Elektro-Auto-News reports that BMW invested over 569 million euros in the location in the same year to improve the production conditions and to advance e-mobility. In his work in Steyr, the production of electric motors will be raised from autumn 2025, with a target of up to 600,000 units per year.

The BMW Group remains optimistic about the future of e-mobility. Jochen Goller, member of the board, confidently commented on sales development: "We continue our growth course in fully electric vehicles". Despite a decline of 4 percent, this positive signal comes to China and challenges from delivery blocks that affected almost 1.5 million vehicles. Nevertheless, the BMW Group in Europe, the USA and other markets were able to record growth, while the Mini brand sold 244,915 units worldwide.
