Glueboys: From Dialect to Amadeus – A Musical Phenomenon!
The “Glueboys”, a talented music group from Pinzgau, have caused a sensation in recent years with their unique mix of dialect songs and feel-good music. Founded from a spontaneous idea, the band consists of the full-time musicians Isaak Kaserer, Maximilian Stöckl and Arthur Gobber, all of whom live in Vienna and come from the Pinzgau region. Her career took off in 2021 with the hit “Baccei Cola,” which is played in numerous après-ski bars and parties. As dolomitenstadt.at reports, they have since played at well-known festivals such as Frequency, Nova Rock and Electric Love.
Their music style, which they themselves describe as “party pop”, stands out clearly from the typical party hits. The “Glueboys” lyrics are humorous and satirical and address everyday topics, which makes their music particularly accessible and entertaining. The band has not only made a name for themselves, but has also been nominated for the Amadeus Music Award in the “Electronic/Dance” category, which they surprisingly won in March 2023. The victory was described by the musicians as “unexpected and surreal”.
Achievements and awards
The “Glueboys” also won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the Electronic/Dance category in 2025, further cementing their status in the Austrian music scene. The Amadeus Awards, which have been presented since 2000, are considered the Austrian equivalent of the Grammys and are held annually at the Volkstheater Vienna, as Wikipedia informs. The awards ceremony will be broadcast by ORF and includes various categories, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
The trio, who originally did not plan a career in music, crossed paths into the music industry through their passion and playing music together. All three members studied music and run their own music studio in Vienna. In doing so, they not only show their ability as musicians, but also as producers.
Now and in the future
As music lovers are aware, their new track “Träumer” will be released on September 19, 2023, a piece they describe as an “epic piece with 100 percent Glueboys DNA.” The accompanying tour, which starts in December 2023, also promises exciting musical surprises. They will also talk humorously about their projects and everyday life in a “City Council Meeting” podcast. The podcast was awarded the “Podcast Newcomer Award” in 2024.
In their conversations together, the “Glueboys” often emphasize their close connection to their homeland, so Lienz also plays a role, especially because of Max’s previous vacations there. In the next few months they will be giving concerts in cities like Innsbruck, Graz and Salzburg. The current ticket prices promise that everyone will have the opportunity to experience the energy and fun of their music up close.
