On Saturday evening, March 31, 2025, a serious accident occurred on Mühlbacher Straße L55 in the municipality of Rosegg. A 17-year-old driver from the Villach district apparently lost control of his vehicle. At 8:15 p.m. the incident occurred, presumably due to aquaplaning, in which the car left the road and crashed into a tree. Fortunately, the young driver was able to get out of the car on his own.

The 17-year-old was taken to Villach Regional Hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree. Fortunately, a breathalyzer test revealed no alcohol in the driver's blood. The fire departments from Rosegg, Dolintschach and St. Jakob im Rosental were on site. A total of 30 emergency services and six vehicles were necessary to deal with the situation.
