Low German art and stories: An evening full of surprises!

The latest episode of “Wi snackt Platt” is all about an exciting new comic book that will make the hearts of Low German lovers beat faster! North German artists from the “Pure Fruit” collective from Kiel have come together to create a captivating comic based on the poems of Klaus Groth, one of the most famous Low German writers. And that's not all! Brösel, the famous illustrator of the comic character “Werner”, is also involved and brings his creative energy to this project.

But the show has even more to offer! Matthias Stührwoldt presents exciting insights from his new book “De gröne Dumen för Unkruut”, which has just been published by Quickborn Verlag. The enchanting story “Gott un de Brägenplietschmaschien” is also presented, which comes from the talented Marie-Sophie Koop from Hamburg. She recently took part in the NDR Poetry Slam on Platt and was one of the winners! These stories promise to captivate the audience and bring the Low German language to life.

Art and music combined

Another highlight of the episode is a concert that leather maker Willie Stemwede will give on Sunday, November 23rd, at the “Allegro” cultural center in Rahlstedt. The event starts in the afternoon and tickets are available for just 10 euros, both in the Heymann bookstore in Rahlstedt and at the box office. An unforgettable experience for everyone who loves Low German culture and music!

The show is moderated by Jan Wulf, who guides listeners through this exciting journey into the world of Low German. The musical background comes from talented artists such as Gerrit Hoss, Santiano and Wiebke Colmorgen, who round off the atmosphere perfectly with their sounds.
