Mobile phone expansion: Anhalt-Bitterfeld receives two new LTE locations!
Bitterfeld/Mz. -Deutsche Telekom has announced that it has significantly improved the mobile phone supply in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district. In the past two months, two additional locations with LTE technology have been expanded, which ensures a larger coverage in the region. These measures not only increase mobile phone coverage, but also increase the range, which improves reception, especially in buildings.
The new locations are located in the municipalities of Köthen and Osternienburger Land and are also focused on the supply along the railway line Saxony-Anhalt-Süd. "We see a steadily growing need for bandwidth of around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue our efforts when expanding mobile phone," said company spokesman Georg von Wagner.

With the latest expansion, Telekom now operates a total of 71 locations in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district. The budget cover already reaches an impressive 99 percent. By 2026, the company plans to build an additional 20 locations. In addition, extensions with LTE or even 5G are planned on 21 existing radio masts. This shows how determined Telekom is to continuously improve the quality and availability of its services in the region.
The company Deutsche Funkturm, which is responsible for the construction of the mobile phone locations, works closely with the municipalities and property owners. This cooperation is crucial in order to be able to rent the necessary areas for new installations appropriately. Interested parties who would like to offer an area for a mast or roof location can contact the German radio tower directly: www.dfmg.de/standort offer.
Currently Deutsche Telekom has more than 36,000 mobile phone locations in operation and is building around 1,500 new locations every year.
