Lahnstein celebrates: Lahn Bridge open again after 10 months of construction!

After months of construction work, the Lahn bridge on the B42 near Lahnstein is finally open to traffic again! After ten intensive months of renovation, in which around 14 million euros were invested, the people of Lahnstein and all road users can breathe a sigh of relief. The Ministry of Transport in Mainz has announced the good news and there is great joy!

Transport Minister Daniela Schmitt (FDP) expressed her enthusiasm: “I am pleased for the people of Lahnstein and all citizens, companies and other users from the region that the Lahn Bridge is once again available to all road users.” The construction work, which began in January of this year, was completed two months earlier than planned. A real reason for joy for the region!

Important infrastructure restored

The high bridge was closed for the urgently needed work, which led to significant traffic restrictions. Vehicles can now drive across the bridge unhindered again and traffic flows are returning to normal. The bridge renovation was not only necessary, but also a significant step towards improving the infrastructure in the region. The Lahn Bridge plays a central role in connection and transport in the area.
