Large deployment in Oelde: SEK in use because of amok alarm at school!
Oelde, Deutschland - A dramatic commitment of the police today put the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Oelde in turmoil. At around 9:20 a.m., an amok alarm was triggered at the Erich Kästner comprehensive school, which resulted in an extensive use of SEK forces. The entire area was cordoned off, and a police helicopter hovered over the school premises, while the students and teachers stayed in their classrooms and remained closed there, reports Exxpress.at .
The police in Münster quickly took over the operations management and took the situation extremely seriously. After intensive searches of the school building for around two hours, the police finally gave the all -clear at 12 noon. It turned out that the situation was not as dangerous as initially feared. According to the police and Ruhr Nachrichten there were no traces of an amoclace or injured. The alarm was classified as a false alarm, the exact circumstances and the trigger of the alarm will now be part of the investigation.
The fact that a drone was used to check the situation out of the air was particularly worrying. The whole thing took place in front of the eyes of concerned parents who were waiting for news, while the entire Hans-Böckler-Straße was closed around the school during the mission.
