Alarm mood in Grevenbroich-Noithausen! A dramatic bomb defusal could take place on Monday, November 18th. The city administration has discovered a dangerous unexploded bomb from the Second World War, which is suspected to be between the Ringstrasse and the Cologne-Düsseldorf railway line. The explosive ordnance disposal service is already on site to check the situation. If the suspicion is confirmed, the residents will face an evacuation!

The city administration warns: If the bomb is actually found, around 1,000 people will have to leave their homes! The evacuation could take place today or tomorrow at the latest. The K10, Grabenstrasse and Düsseldorfer Strasse as well as the street “am Rittergut”, which have to be closed to traffic, would be particularly affected. The gymnasium of the Wilhelm von Humboldt Comprehensive School will be provided as emergency accommodation for citizens who cannot go home during the evacuation.
