Heide Park Festival in crisis: bankruptcy and ticket refunds!

A shock for festival visitors! HighLight Production GmbH, organizer of the Heide Park Festival, has temporarily filed for bankruptcy. According to the Dortmund district court, insolvency proceedings were initiated in mid-October. The sad reality: The chances of a refund of the ticket prices are extremely low, as Markus Hagge, legal expert at the Lower Saxony Consumer Center, explains.

The disappointment is great! Many visitors were looking forward to an unforgettable experience, but their expectations were bitterly disappointed. Heide Park was not open exclusively to festival visitors as promised, and the announced headliner “Chainsmokers” did not appear. Instead, the disappointed fans now have to assert their claims in court. If the event company manages to save itself, the chances of a refund of ticket prices could improve, says Hagge.

Legal situation for festival visitors

The legal options for festival visitors are now limited. The consumer advice center had previously given hope for a partial refund of the ticket price, but the bankruptcy brings new challenges. Visitors hoping for a refund face a long and uncertain process. Anyone who wants their money back must now be prepared for a potentially complicated legal process.
