The title is considered a love letter to the Rock ’Roll culture and contains stories of nightly adventures. Luke Morley's guitar work is characterized as outstanding and contains a mixture of acoustics and solos.
"raining whiskey": an emotional song
The Quireboys recently released a video for "Raining Whiskey", which serves as the second single from the upcoming album "Wardour Street". This piece includes a previously unpublished vocals by Frankie Miller, who has not recorded since an aneurysm in 1994. Miller had originally sent a demo band of the song to Spike, the front man of the Quireboys, for his 2014 album "100% Pure Frankie Miller", but the song was not placed on the final track list.
is added that the new version of "Raining Whiskey" was mixed by Nick Brine, who also worked on the new album. Frankie Miller was the first to hear the new version and encouraged it to be published as a single. The song will be published on June 21 as a double A page together with "Jeez Louise", which was already digitally released in October. "Wardour Street" will be published on September 13 via Cadiz Music and is already available for pre -order.
Spike said that the process of album production was both heartbreaking and astonishing and devoted the album to the late guitarist Guy Bailey. The Quireboys also plan two live performances: At the Stonedead Festival in Newark on August 23 and at the Winterstorm Festival in Troon, Scotland, on November 28th.
