Winter slump in Aachen? Weather expert gives the all-clear!
The Aachen city region could hit a dramatic onset of winter! According to an alarming report by "Wetter.net", we are facing a cold winter, and the first snowfall could soon become a reality. Experts warn: "Snow, smoothness and winter road conditions are in sight!" But how exactly will the weather develop?
The weather situation remains uncertain! Annika Tschunt, weather expert from the German Weather Service (DWD), is skeptical about the forecasts. The low pressure area that comes from northern Italy could bring snow, but the current moves towards the northwest. "I don't want to sign an upcoming onset of winter," emphasizes Tschunt. The uncertainties for the coming week are great and the exact snow forecasts remain unclear.
Uncomfortable days in sight
The weather will remain changeable in the coming week. The temperatures rise slightly, during the day to about seven to nine degrees, while it remains mild at night with low values between four and six degrees. Snow is not to be expected for the time being due to the high temperatures. Instead, clouds and the rain that always set in dominate the weather picture. An umbrella and warm clothing will be indispensable in Aachen in the next few days, even without snow!
