Senior citizen outsmarts thief: wallet back in Hildesheim!

A suspected thief made a brazen attempt to steal her wallet in the eastern town of Hildesheim on Saturday (November 16, 2024) in the eastern town of Hildesheim. But the watchful senior citizen was not so easily outwitted! Around 11:30 a.m., the woman's stranger offered to help her carry her rollator into the house. But behind this apparent willingness to help, a sneaky plan was hidden.

The senior citizen, attentive and ingenious, immediately noticed the lack of her wallet in the stairwell, which was previously in a pocket of her rollator. She immediately confronted the man! The thief, visibly surprised by her vigilance, returned the stolen wallet and apologized before he hastily looked for the vastness. Another man was on the doorstep during the incident and could possibly have more information.
